Jake Fowler – Third-Generation Insurance Agent & Founder of BreakFree Insurance!

I come from a long line of insurance professionals, but for years, I wasn’t sure if it was the path I wanted to take. My journey began after high school when I joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served four years of active duty. After an honorable discharge, I used my GI Bill benefits to pursue an education and quickly realized that a career in sales would be the best vehicle to provide the kind of life I wanted for my family. I found a high-paying sales position in the construction materials industry and spent two years honing my skills.

 

In 2008, the economy crashed, forcing me to pivot. I joined a captive insurance company that primarily offered coverage to union members and referrals. However, after six months of selling their products, I realized they weren’t aligned with my values. Although I was successful, I couldn’t continue with them because I didn’t believe their offerings were in the best interest of the consumer. This experience taught me the importance of working with products and companies that genuinely serve people.

 

Years later, I returned to the insurance world as an independent agent, driven by a desire for the freedom to find companies that truly prioritize the well-being of their clients. I founded BreakFree Insurance because I am passionate about helping others break free from companies that prioritize their own interests over those of their clients. I take a consultative approach—listening to my clients’ needs and providing them with the options that best suit their families’ well-being.

Tyler and Amy Twiggs got into insurance in 2017. The idea for the company came from Amy's personal experience with her family's challenges as they aged. This sparked her interest in working with Medicare, and over the past seven years, Amy has become a specialist in various areas of insurance.

Amy's mission is to educate clients, helping them navigate the complexities of insurance, save money, and ensure they are only paying for the coverage they actually need. She has a particular passion for living benefits and alternative health options, which she incorporates into her approach. Amy is committed to guiding people through the process of choosing the right coverage at any stage of their life.

Based in Southern Utah, Amy and Ty enjoy life together with their four children, balancing both family life and their professional commitment to helping others with their insurance needs.
